When two interpreters may be appropriate
Longer sessions, complex programmes, stage work and livestreamed events can require more than one interpreter so that quality and concentration remain consistent. We will discuss the format with you and help you plan the right level of support.

Please share the date, venue, running order, session times, expected audience, speaker information, scripts or slides where available, and whether the event will be recorded or streamed.

Make the interpreter visible throughout the event
Plan an unobstructed, well-lit interpreting position and check the view from audience seating before doors open. Tell the production team that the interpreter must remain visible during slides, videos and speaker changes. For a livestream, agree how the interpreter will appear on screen and include that layout in the technical rehearsal.
Preparation and programme changes
Share the running order, speaker names, slides, scripts and relevant terminology as early as possible. Give the interpreting team a named event contact and explain how late changes will be communicated. Build breaks into longer programmes and flag overlapping sessions so staffing can be discussed.
Recording and reusing event footage
Tell us before booking if you intend to record, publish or reuse interpreted footage. Include the channels, audience and intended use in your enquiry so permissions and terms can be agreed in advance. A live interpreting booking should not be assumed to include every later use of a recording.
