Alex Orlov, CEO

Alex Orlov, CEO & Marketing Director, was born in Moscow but moved to Tel Aviv with his brother Guy and their family in 1990. Having attended school in Israel, he came to the UK for his higher education, and gained a BA in Graphic Design from Derby University. Deaf since birth, he uses a cochlear implant which was fitted in Israel in 2011. After graduating, Alex worked as an art director at a number of advertising agencies, and managed his own art and design studio, before joining forces with Guy to set up cSeeker in 2014. He was Bookings Officer for the company before becoming CEO in August 2017. As the founder of Edustart, Alex also helps young educational businesses take off with investment, guidance and support.
Guy Orlov, Business Development Manager, was born in Moscow but left Russia in 1990 to move with his family to Israel, where he was at school. He came to the UK to study at Sheffield Hallam University, gaining a BSc in Computing Visualisation. He uses both Israeli (Hebrew) and British Sign Language to communicate, and is profoundly Deaf. After graduating, for three years he worked as a Local Groups Administrator for the National Deaf Children’s Society (NDCS). He initially left NDCS to take a place on the prestigious MSc in Innovation and Management Entrepreneurship at Manchester University’s Business School. However, already developing his business idea, he decided instead to focus on setting up cSeeker. He lives in Birmingham.

Olivier Jamin has been Deaf since birth. He was born in France, but has lived in the UK for more than 35 years. He is a trained artist with various skills in Art and Design, and previously worked for a charity in Birmingham for seven years. Here he acquired his knowledge in Community Development, and in Health and Wellbeing.

Juliet England is a trained journalist who has also worked as a charity press officer and corporate communications writer. She is the author of Deafness and Hearing Loss: The Essential Guide, and has a hearing loss herself. Juliet does social media, copywriting and associated PR tasks for cSeeker on a freelance basis.
